Brendan O’Sullivan provides his top player prop bets for Sunday’s Houston Texans vs. Arizona Cardinals matchup.

The Texans and Cardinals are on opposite streaks heading into this Week 15 matchup. Houston is on a five-game win streak, while Arizona is on a five-game losing streak.

Houston is a 9.5-point favorite and -600 on the moneyline, while Arizona is +440 on DraftKings Sportsbook. The game total is set at 42.5 points.

Here are my favorite player props for this Week 15 NFL game between the Texans and Cardinals.

Texans vs. Cardinals Best Prop Bets

Trey McBride under 66.5 receiving yards (-114)

This is a difficult game to judge because Jacoby Brissett can throw for over 300 yards on 40 pass attempts. The volume is often ridiculous, and he’s the all-time leader in interception ratio. This is all great news for Trey McBride.

That said, the Texans are the No. 1 defense in terms of points and yards allowed. They allow the third fewest passing yards and fewest passing touchdowns in the league. While Brissett is a great quarterback for overs, it’s unlikely he can overcome this Houston defense.

Since the Week 6 bye, the Texans have held the Chiefs, Colts, Bills, Titans, Broncos and 49ers to under 20 points. The Jaguars and Seahawks scored 29 and 27, respectively. The Cardinals will likely be another victim of this stifling defense.

Houston also allows the fifth fewest yards to tight ends this season. Another tough stat for McBride in this game. It’s hard to fade McBride this year, but this may be the appropriate time to do so.

Jayden Higgins over 37.5 receiving yards (-111)

Jayden Higgins is having a solid rookie season, proving to be a quality wide receiver for this Houston offense. He’s not taking Nico Collins’ job right now, or maybe ever, but he’s had good games recently.

Higgins has recorded over 37.5 receiving yards in four games this season, but all four have come in the past five contests. His most recent performance was 34 yards, so not far off this over.

Additionally, the Cardinals are a below average defense. They rank 20th in passing yards allowed and 24th in overall yards allowed. Because of how aggressive Brissett is, it’s possible that the Texans will match that with lots of passing. This will give Higgins more opportunities to hit the over.

Even if Higgins gets his regular share of targets, he’s more than capable of hitting the over — as he did four times in the past five games.
