Arizona is in an interesting predicament; Kyler Murray is still under contract until 2029, but it certainly looks like a separation is coming sooner rather than later. 8 of their top 12 contracts for 2026 are at or above 30 years of age, so this is a team that is definitely in transition, but also still trying to find an identity. In this Arizona Cardinals 2026 7 Round NFL Mock Draft, I’m working under the assumption that they are moving on from Murray, so I may or may not be targeting a quarterback, even though Jacoby Brissett is a solid veteran; this team still needs its quarterback of the future.
Note: Teams inevitably trade draft picks during the draft; I will not be. I’m standing pat and selecting based on how the roster will look today, so no free agency either.Â
2026 Arizona Cardinals: Overview
They have 50 players currently under contract, but I could see them getting out from under quite a few contracts, depending on the direction they decide to go as a team. Thanks to our friends at Ourlads, here is the current depth chart as it stands today, and I see the biggest needs on the right side of the offensive line, the interior of the defensive line, QB of the future, and WR/LB depth.Â
Arizona Cardinals 2026 7 Round NFL Mock Draft
With their first round pick, the only quarterbacks available would be Ty Simpson and Garrett Nussmeier, so if they don’t trade up to target one of the top 2 or 3, I could see them sitting back and taking a quarterback in round two or three, potentially.Â
Â
Pick #8 – Spencer Fano, OT, UtahÂ
So I went with an offensive lineman, give them another elite tackle to go opposite Paris Johnson, and really help support whoever is under center come next season.Â
Pick #39 – Garrett Nussmeier, QB, LSU
This one was a tough one for me. At times, he’s looked like a first-round prospect, and I think I’m leaning towards believing that he can turn into a solid QB at the next level.Â
Pick #70 – Antonio Williams, WR, Clemson
They have their bigger-bodied wideouts, so Williams brings a different flavor to the wide receiver room. Small but a big play threat waiting to happen, he’s got great control of his body and can do it all on the inside or outside.
Pick #105 – Jacob Rodriguez, LB, Texas Tech
A former quarterback turned linebacker, he’s very smart before the snap and has the range to be a guy who plays sideline to sideline. I think he has a chance to start from day one in this defense, as none of their younger guys have really shown that they are ready to take over the role.
Pick #144 – Kaytron Allen, RB, Penn State
Conner and Benson have been hurt, and this team is really in need of some RB depth with the potential of taking over the lead role if Conner is gone after the season. So why not turn to a guy like Allen, who gives off some Benson-type vibes?Â
Pick #188 – Logan Jones, IOL, Iowa
At this point in the draft, an extremely athletic interior offensive lineman feels like a no-brainer for Arizona. Jones could probably be their starting center or guard, as he’s got the frame and ability to play either position.
Pick #222 – Keanu Tanuvasa, DL, BYU
I looked for an athletic defensive lineman for their last pick, as I really wanted to target one sooner for them, but it just didn’t make sense to me. He has the size/speed profile to play inside or outside, and I think the versatility could be good for him to make a roster at the next level.
