The New York Giants (2-11) return from their bye on Sunday to host the Washington Commanders (3-10) at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

The Week 15 contest represents the second and final game of the 2025 regular season between the NFC East rivals, with Washington having dominated the Giants, 21-6, in Week 1.

A lot has changed since then, and both teams enter Sunday on significant skids. The Giants have lost seven straight games, which is second only to the Commanders, who are riding a league-worst eight-game losing streak.

After back-to-back benchings for tardiness, rookie edge rusher Abdul Carter recommitted himself during the bye week, and that paid immediate dividends.

Carter opened the game with a tackle for loss and then recorded a strip-sack of Marcus Mariota to end Washington’s second offensive drive.

Despite their impressive start and a pair of solid runs by Tyrone Tracy Jr., the Giants couldn’t get much going in Washington territory and settled for a 52-yard field goal, which Younghoe Koo missed wide left.

On the first offensive play of the game, rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart ran a play-action and hit wide receiver Darius Slayton for a 19-yard gain.

An ugly offensive series littered with penalties and a drop ended well for the Commanders, who took the lead on a 46-yard Jake Moody field goal to cap off a 10-play, 39-yard drive.

Washington converted on two of three of their third-down attempts and averaged 6.0 yards per play.

Commanders 3, Giants 0

The Giants have won the coin toss and opted to defer. The Commanders will start on offense, and the Giants will receive the second-half kickoff.
