NFL Week 15 overreactions

USA TODAY’s Prince Grimes breaks down the best storylines from NFL Week 15.

Sports Seriously

Quarterback Justin Herbert and the Los Angeles Chargers picked up a significant victory over the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, Dec. 14.

As a result of the Chargers16-13 road victory over the Chiefs, Los Angeles is slotted in as the AFC’s fifth seed.

The Chiefs had qualified for the playoffs every year since the 2015 season, reaching the Super Bowl in each of the past three seasons and winning two.

The Chargers (10-4) will finish out the season on Jan. 4 with a road game against the Denver Broncos (12-2), which might decide the AFC West division and possibly the conference’s top seed.

Who could the Chargers play?

If the season ended today, the Chargers would play the fourth-seeded Pittsburgh Steelers on the road in a wild-card game.
