
Packers defensive end Micah Parsons leaves game with a knee injury
Green Bay Packers defensive end Micah Parsons exited the third quarter of the Broncos game with a knee injury.
Green Bay Packers star edge rusher Micah Parsons exited Sunday’s 34-26 loss to the Denver Broncos with a non-contact left knee injury that appears to be significant.
Parsons went to the locker room with assistance and was later ruled out.
The Packers fear Parsons has a torn ACL, according to the NFL Network, an injury that would end his first season in Green Bay in crushing fashion.
The Packers also lost wide receiver Christian Watson and tight end Josh Whyle, offensive lineman Zach Tom and safety Evan Williams with injuries as one player after another departed the game hurt.

The update on Parsons isn’t what any Packers fan wants to hear.
Parsons is believed to have suffered a torn ACL, according to the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. The Packers are unfortunately getting used to star players going down with torn ACLs.
Watson sustained the injury in the final game of the 2024 season on Jan. 5, 2025. He spent the next nine months recovering and didn’t return until Week 8 of this season.
Tight end Tucker Kraft’s breakout 2025 season ended the same way on Nov. 2.

The injury occurred as the Broncos were driving with 55 seconds left in the third quarter.
On a first down from the Packers’ 29-yard line, Parsons had just broke through the offensive line as he often does. But as he went after Broncos quarterback Bo Nix he changed direction and moments later grabbed his left knee in significant pain.

Parsons immediately went to the ground and trainers tended to him.
The Packers’ All-Pro could be heard saying “I’m out.”
He eventually got on his feet, though he needed help and he walked gingerly off the field.
Before he left for the sideline, Broncos star cornerback Patrick Surtain II came over to check on Parsons.

The Broncos scored a touchdown two plays after Parsons left the game to take a 27-23 lead at the end of the third quarter.
Parsons had a forced fumble earlier in the contest and had spent the day getting around double teams and chasing after Nix.

The injury is a brutal way to end to a dominant first season in Green Bay for Parsons.
The Packers acquired Parsons, the four-time Pro Bowler and All-Pro, in a blockbuster trade with the Dallas Cowboys a week before the start of the season.
Parsons entered the game ranked fourth in the NFL with 12.5 sacks. He was the NFC’s Defensive Player of the Month in October.
Parsons, a generational playmaker, elevated the Packers’ defense to among the best in the NFL. His loss now will be felt throughout the defense.
