If you were to find yourself on a rollercoaster like the season Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix has been through in 2025, you’d be begging to get off.
Nix, at the scariest parts, just held on even tighter.
It’s all coming around now for Nix, who saw his NFL Most Valuable Player odds skyrocket following a thrilling, 34-26 win over the Green Bay Packers in Week 15.
It was the 11th consecutive win for the Broncos as they improved to 12-2 overall and gained the inside track on the No. 1 seed in the AFC Playoffs.
“Drake Maye odds to win MVP have SHRUNK to 18% after today’s performance,” Polymarket Sports wrote on its official X account on Monday, December 15. “He is now below both Matthew Stafford (67%) and Bo Nix (29%) for the award.”
Nix, the No. 12 overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft, played perhaps his best game as a pro against the Packers, going 23-of-34 passing for 302 yards, 4 touchdowns and no interceptions.
Nix Shines in Matchup With ‘Elite’ $220 Milliion QB
Nix also outdueled Packers quarterback Jordan Love, a 2020 first round pick who signed a 4-year, $220 million contract extension in July 2024. Nix is playing on a 4-year, $18.6 million contract and won’t be in line for a massive payday until March 2027, at the earliest.
Bleacher Report’s Brent Sobleski handed Nix an “A+” in his weekly quarterback grades following the win over the Packers.
“Bo Nix is getting better every week,” Sobleski wrote. “With Sunday’s performance against the Packers, the sophomore signal-caller reached the point where he can help turn the Denver Broncos from a very good into a dominant team … Nix showed he can go all gas, no breaks with his latest effort.”
Broncos Fans Going Crazy Over Nix
It’s been 2 years with the Broncos as the full-time starter and his second consecutive playoff berth after clinching with a win over the Packers. The Broncos snapped a 9-year playoff drought in 2024 by going 10-7, although they were blown out by the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Wild Card Round.
“There’s no denying Bo Nix’s greatness now,” Denver Broncos 365 wrote on X. “Bo Nix has turned from game manager to superstar He’s elevating his team.”
“Don’t wanna hear any Bo Nix disrespect ever again,” Mile High Huddle’s Zack Kelberman wrote on X.
“Let’s have a conversation that will hurt the ego of a lot of people: Bo Nix is not only in the MVP conversation, but on top of it,” Sleeper Broncos wrote on X.
“For anyone doubting Bo Nix’s ability to deliver …. make sure you watch this game vs the Packers real carefully,” former NFL quarterback Chase Daniel wrote on X. “Big throw after big throw … And he’s doing this vs a legitimate Top 5 Packers defense.”
“BO NIX BALLED OUT WITH 4 TDS IN THE WIN VS. GREEN BAY,” Yahoo Sports wrote on X. “Should he be in the MVP race after leading Denver to 11 straight wins and the current No. 1 AFC seed?”
Not everyone is convinced Nix is an elite NFL MVP candidate quite yet.
DraftKings still has his NFL MVP Odds as a longshot (+7500) behind Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford (-300), Maye (+450) and Bills quarterback Josh Allen, the reigning NFL MVP.
