The Pittsburgh Steelers are elevating outside linebacker DeMarvin Leal and offensive tackle Jack Driscoll from the practice squad to the 53-man roster for Monday’s game.

Leal will come up with T.J. Watt on the sidelines due to surgery on a collapsed lung last week. Watt was ruled out, and Leal, who was on the team’s active roster earlier this year., will get another chance to showcase what he can do.

Leal originally was released in August and then came back on the practice squad. After doing that, he was elevated to the active roster when Alex Highsmith went down with a high ankle sprain during the team’s Week 2 loss to the Seattle Seahawks.

Leal, the team’s third-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, moved to outside linebacker full time this season, but has failed to make a tangible impact throughout the season.

Leal missed most of the 2024 season after suffering a neck injury against the Dallas Cowboys. He had surgery for that issue, but it has not limited him at all during the season.

Driscoll is coming up in an effort to aid a banged-up Steelers offensive tackle room, which is down its top three left tackles. Dylan Cook is making his first career start.

Driscoll was the Eagles’ fourth-round pick out of Auburn in the 2020 NFL Draft. He has started in 18 games and played in 67 games over his career. After his rookie contract expired following the 2023 season, Driscoll was let go by the Eagles and signed a deal with the Miami Dolphins.
