Bucs History Made Against Atlanta
December 16th, 2025
Chris Godwin skies over A.J. Terrell for a touchdown catch last Thursday.
Joe is trying to keep his mind away from the gutless loss to the Dixie Chicks. Sadly, that’s the last thing Joe remembers is that game.
Lost in the collective facepalm Bucs fans have had since, lost is that Bucs receiver Chris Godwin made franchise history. So you can understand how the loss overshadowed such a feat.
Godwin scored a touchdown against the Dixie Chicks and had a two-point conversion on the play. The touchdown put Godwin in some serious company.
The touchdown was Godwin’s 40th of his career. He became just the second Bucs player to have 40 touchdowns. The other? His teammate, Mike Evans.
Godwin’s two-point conversion broke a tie with Evans for the most two-point conversions in club history, with five. Those five two-point conversions not only lead Bucs history, but Godwin is now ninth overall in NFL history for two-point conversions.
You can tell that Godwin is slowly getting back to his Pro Bowl self, more so game by game.
