Adams’ injury is ‘simply an aggravation’ of a previous hamstring issue, Ian Rapoport says

#Rams WR Davante Adams, who left Sunday’s game with a hamstring injury, is considered week-to-week, sources say.

That almost certainly knock him out for TNF, but it is simply an aggravation of what he was previously dealing with, not a new injury. pic.twitter.com/W1RT91jhkv

Sean McVay hasn’t given an update on Davante Adams’ status just yet, but Ian Rapoport of NFL Network shared some news on the Los Angeles Rams’ star receiver Monday night. He reported that Adams is considered week-to-week after aggravating an old injury Sunday against the Detroit Lions.

Adams went down in the fourth quarter on a downfield route and was unable to return to the game after being evaluated further by the training staff.

McVay will provide another update when he addresses the media on Tuesday, likely giving a clearer timeline for Adams’ return. Rapoport reported earlier in the day that “the hope is” Adams will be able to return for the playoffs.

This season, Adams leads the NFL with 14 touchdown receptions. He has 789 yards receiving on 60 receptions. He had played all 14 games prior to getting injured on Sunday but now stands to miss at least Thursday night’s game against the Seahawks.
