GLENDALE – Sunday’s Week 15 loss to the Houston Texans was an ugly one for the Arizona Cardinals. The team loss the turnover battle, had less yards and was dominated in ever facet of the game. The only good news was Arizona having their 2026 NFL draft pick jump from eighth to sixth. However, head coach Jonathan Gannon doesn’t care about any of that, and when speaking with the media on Monday stated that he and his players aren’t happy.

Gannon speaks about being “not happy” with results:
Gannon will have his players rely on him and the leaders around the locker room to help them through this adversity. At 3-11, the Cardinals have an opportunity to record the most losses in franchise history if they are winless the rest of the season. While many fans might prefer that outcome, to rise through the ranks of a higher draft picks, Gannon wants to see his players fight.

The 42-year-old head coach believes adversity is what builds great players, and currently on the team’s second five-plus game losing streak, Arizona has had plenty of hurdles. Seven one-score losses for Gannon’s crew. Will the close losses trick ownership and general manager Monti Ossenfort that this team is just the victim of bad luck? The answer is unclear.
Regardless, despite the bad luck and injuries, this team is aiming to grow through these challenging times. Gannon believes the Cardinals will get to the other side of this dry spell. Whether he’ll be there is unknown.
