Former Indianapolis Colts kicker Michael Badgley has landed with a new team.
According to Tom Pelissero, Badgley is signing with the Buffalo Bills‘ practice squad.
Bills’ kicker Matthew Prater is out this week due to a quad injury, Pelissero added. Meaning that Badgley could be in line to be elevated against Cleveland on Sunday and start.
The Colts released Badgley following the team’s Week 13 loss to Houston. In that game, Badgley missed what ended up being a critical extra point attempt.
That also wasn’t the first kick that he had missed either, with Badgley missing three others on the season.
During a three-game stretch prior to being cut, Badgley had missed two extra-point attempts and a field goal.
The Colts signed Badgley early in the season after Spencer Shrader was placed on injured reserve.
In place of Badgley, the Colts signed Blake Grupe, who has been perfect in his first two appearances, which includes hittinga 60-yarder late against Seattle this past Sunday.
