Jalen Hurts was not on the Eagles’ injury report on Tuesday and said he felt no effects from an awkward hit he took late in the third quarter on Sunday.
“No, I’m fine,” Hurts said.
But aside from Hurts, the Eagles released a lengthy injury report as they kicked off a short week ahead of Saturday’s game on the road against the Commanders. The Eagles held a walkthrough on Tuesday, so the report was an estimation:
Did not practice: RB Saquon Barkley (stinger), DT Jalen Carter (shoulders), G Landon Dickerson (calf), T Fred Johnson (ankle), T Lane Johnson (foot), TE Cameron Latu (stinger)
Limited: RB Tank Bigsby (illness)
Full: LB Zack Baun (hand), OLB Jaelan Phillips (knee), T Cameron Williams (shoulder)
It’s worth noting that the Eagles will have their first actual practice of the week on Thursday and it’s possible several of those players listed as “DNP” will be back on the field.
Barkley on Sunday had 22 carries for 78 yards and a touchdown. He came out of the game briefly in the first half but was able to return and played a total of 39 snaps before the backups took over in the fourth quarter. We’ll obviously be monitoring his status all week.
Lane Johnson has now missed four games with a Lisfranc sprain in his foot. Johnson, 35, suffered the injury against the Lions on Nov. 11 and has missed the three losses to the Cowboys, Bears and Chargers and the win over the Raiders. While Johnson may be nearing a return, he’s still not ready to return to practice.
In Johnson’s place, the Eagles have gotten solid play from backup Fred Johnson, who suffered an ankle injury last week during practice but was able to play.
Jalen Carter has now missed the last two games after having a procedure in both shoulders. The D-line has performed well without him but the Eagles expect Carter back for the playoff run.
Landon Dickerson has been dealing with that calf injury since the Chargers game. He left that game but was able to return and then he started against the Raiders and played 52 snaps before most of the starters were pulled. The Eagles have given Dickerson a day off of practice in each of the last two weeks. The Pro Bowl left guard has played through several injuries in 2025.
