For the second time in three weeks, the Green Bay Packers (9-4-1) and Chicago Bears (10-4) will meet for a matchup with big NFC North stakes. The winner of Saturday night’s primetime showdown will take over first place in the division and have the inside track at the No. 2 seed in the NFC with two weeks to go.

The Packers beat the Bears at Lambeau Field in Week 14. Can Matt LaFleur’s team complete the sweep, or will the Bears — who comfortably beat the Cleveland Browns on Sunday — take complete control of the NFC North?

Here are five things to know about the Bears:

Last week

The Bears had no problems dispatching the visiting Cleveland Browns at a bitterly cold Soldier Field on Sunday. Caleb Williams threw two touchdown passes, the defense intercepted Shedeur Sanders three times and sacked him five times, and the Bears cruised to a 31-3 win. D’Andre Swift and D.J. Moore both scored a pair of touchdowns. The Browns managed only nine first downs and 192 total yards. In freezing temps, the Bears took an early lead and the Browns never got back into the game. Chicago got to 10 wins for the first time since 2018.

How did Caleb Williams play last week?

The Bears quarterback was excellent against the Browns. Williams averaged 8.6 yards per attempt, tossed two touchdown passes to D.J. Moore, including an incredible throw to the back of the end zone while scrambling to his right, and didn’t have a turnover. PFF credited Williams with three big-time throws. Off play-action, Williams completed 11 of 14 passes for 147 yards and two scores. He also completed 6 of 9 passes for 76 yards and a score when pressured.

Any new injuries?

Wide receiver Rome Odunze is still dealing with a foot injury, and he didn’t play Sunday or practice during a walk-through on Tuesday. Rookie wide receiver Luther Burden II, who caught six passes for 84 yards on Sunday, has a new ankle injury and did not participate on Tuesday. Defensive lineman Andrew Billings has an illness and did not participate on Tuesday. Tight end Cole Kmet has a knee/ankle injury and was limited Tuesday. One injury to watch: linebacker Tremaine Edmunds was designated for return from injured reserve and practiced on Tuesday. His return would be a big one for the Bears defense.
