What do you make of this Bears team?

Can they make a run for the Super Bowl?

Can they win the Super Bowl?

I don’t know about all of that, but they are one of the hottest teams.

Right?

Theyre one of those dark horses.

They’ve been hot all year; they’ve been rolling.

Usually, you want your teams that really get rolling right after Thanksgiving.

So, obviously, if they can continue this thing, absolutely, they get into the dance.

But, uh, you know, you want a team like this, your dark horse to kind of get rolling.

You know, this part of the year, and then everybody’s kind of shocked and surprised.

But they’re not surprising anybody, you know, everybody’s gonna give them their best shot.

I love that guy right there; always believed in that guy.

All, everybody out there that was like, Oh, is he the real deal or not?

They should shut up, sit down.

I was flying back from Vail, I was flying back from snowboarding in Vail a couple of days ago And then I turned around, and there was this couple from Chicago, I guess, and Brandon, they were like, “Bear down,” and then her husband was like, Hey, do you think Caleb is a franchise quarterback?

Shut up.

What do you mean, is he a franchise quarterback?

What do you mean?

Now, the real question is, Can he win a Super Bowl?

Like the question you’re asking me, And we’ll see here in a couple of months.

But franchise quarterback, Shut up.

Experience does matter, but at the end of the Day, you know, a player is a player.

You know, Caleb’s been winning all his life.

Drake May’s been winning all his life.

So, you know, I’m not worrying about it.

These guys, we’re worrying about the 2nd guy, Uh, the, the, you know, on, on, you know, on the depth chart.

The 3rd guy on the depth chart that might be on special teams.

Are you gonna muff the punt?

Are you gonna do your job running down on kickoff?

Are you gonna be in your gap where you’re supposed to be?

Those are the guys you have to worry about, It’s not necessarily the superstars, Superstars are superstars, man, you’re a superstar when you’re coming out your mom’s Womb, you’re a superstar when youre running out that tunnel, Whether it’s Week One, playoffs, or Super Bowl.

So it’s the other guys that we gotta worry about.

About.

You go into retirement, obviously, You’re getting out of game shape, you’re not doing the things that you did every single day When you were a player.

Just how impressive is what we saw, Philip?

Rivers do on Sunday?

Uh, I mean, at the quarterback position, its you know, These guys can spin it until they’re 70, 75, right?

Any other position?

No way, OK?

No way.

This positionyes, let me tell you why.

Ryan Fitzpatrick and Josh McCown, some of my quarterbacks were the only ones Quarterbacks that made me realize the game is 80% mental for them.

Right?

Like you had Ryan Fitzpatrick, I promise you, In training camp, he can barely complete a, a, a, a 5-yard hit.

Oh, right?

He, he was throwing balls in the dirt.

But the dude was smarter than 90% of the defensive coordinators out there.

Chad Pennington is another one.

Chad Pennington, I saw this guy who couldn’t throw it.

Past 42 yards, still come out there and compete at a high level in the NFL.

Peyton Manning, the great Peyton Manning.

Oh, do we forget about the great Peyton Manning?

Yeah, no, he didn’t sit for five years or so, but Peyton, Peyton Manning, won a Super Bowl without Being able to throw past 40 yards.

The dude had a broken neck in the NFL.

Why was he able to win the Super Bowl in the NFL?

Because it was this.

And he also had great defense.

So they have a great team around him, and uh, I think he, He actually will give them some juice, right?

Like that, That team, they came out and competed in a very hostile environment, um, without their Quarterback in, and then a lot of that was because of Chris Ballard.

That head coach, they were rallying around that head coach.

And 3, Philip Rivers.

Philip Rivers is a guys guy.
