The Oregon State football team’s quarterback room has just lost a little depth.

On Tuesday, Kallen Gutridge announced on social media that he intends to enter the transfer portal.

A graduate of Wilsonville High School, Gutridge is a redshirt freshman for the Beavers. In two years in Corvallis, Gutridge hasn’t seen any playing time while the Beavers worked with Maalik Murphy, Tristan Ti’a and Gabarri Johnson in the fall 2025 season.

While in high school, Gutridge was one of Oregon’s top high school quarterbacks. As a senior, he threw for 3,482 yards and 53 touchdowns, and ran for 583 yards and six more touchdowns as the Wildcats went 12-1 and won the Class 5A state championship.

He was considered a three-star prospect by 247Sports.

Gutridge was also a talented basketball player in high school, leading Wilsonville to back-to-back state championships in 2023 and 2024. Prior to committing to Oregon State to play football, Gutridge was being recruited to play basketball in college.
