Maxx Crosby and the Las Vegas Raiders didn’t enjoy the result of Sunday’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles. The defending Super Bowl champs dominated Las Vegas, 31-0.

But Crosby, the Raiders’ two-time All-Pro edge rusher, “loved” the fans, the energy and the experience of playing at Lincoln Financial Field in south Philadelphia.

The four-time Pro Bowler, who played in Philly for the first time on Sunday, praised Eagles fans and the city’s football culture earlier this week on his podcast, “The Rush.”

“Cities that really have substance to them and true fan bases and love for their city and the game, going to Philly, you could feel that energy,” Crosby said. “There were people everywhere downtown. We stayed right downtown in the thick of it. You know how Philly is. They’re rowdy. They’re crazy. They’re flipping off the buses. They didn’t give a damn about anything.

“And then when we’re driving up to the stadium, and I never do this, but this was my first time playing in Philly so that’s why I took some pictures. There’s trees, it’s all white, and there’s fans everywhere in the tailgate and you could just see the stadium behind them.

“… If you love football, that’s what you dream of as a kid, playing football in Philadelphia in December in a grimy (expletive) environment. That’s exactly what you dream of. I loved it.”

Crosby played well in his first trip to the Linc. He logged a sack, his 10th of the season, and made life difficult on Eagles right tackle Fred Johnson. But it wasn’t enough to stop the Raiders, now 2-11 on the season, from getting dominated on both sides of the ball.

It’s unlikely that Crosby will be back playing at the Linc anytime soon. Though the Dallas Cowboys inquired about trading for him ahead of this season’s deadline, Crosby is under contract with Las Vegas through 2029 after signing a massive extension in March.

At least Crosby enjoyed the Eagles’ “rowdy” and “crazy” fans on Sunday.
