Raheem Morris was asked today about the possibility of coming off as, As you know, the game Cousins had Thursday of Cousins being the quarterback next year After they’ve just paid him $100 million for the last two years.

And Raheem Morris said, “Everything is on the table.”

And this is from a quote attributed to Atlanta Falcons.com.

Obviously, we all sit down at the end of the season, and we’ll have all those discussions.

We’ll talk about all those things that certainly will be part of it.

Could be a throwaway line.

Or not.

I think it’s fair to ask, will Raheem Morris be Part of that decision-making process?

What, what do you make of this?

Yeah, first of all, theres definitely the question of who will be the head coach and who Will be the general manager.

And until we answer those two questions for the Atlanta Falcons, we can’t make a decision on quarterback.

I think when you look at this, Michael Penox Jr. Is injured right now, and so I think it’s reasonable to not.

All of, like, fully go in on what he’s going to be, particularly when, As we’ve talked about, he has the injury history, and you don’t know how he’s going to Recover.

On top of that, think about the timing of this.

Conversation, Andrew, which is that they’re coming off 476 offensive yards against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers who are leading the division.

So thats the most offensive yards theyve had all year.

And 365 total passing yards.

Again, the most passing yards they’ve had Year.

They had guys who were kind of showing up in ways they hadn’t looked at what Kyle Pitts did.

So, I think when you look at this, If you’re the head coach of your team, and you’re trying to win games and show your Ownership, hey, I believe in this, why would you try and take confidence away from the quarterback that’s currently out there?

And why, why would you try to take confidence away from the skill players?

Whether it’s Kyle Pitts or Bijon, or some of these other guys who are going to be relying on That quarterback?

I think it was telling when Kirk Cousins and uh Initially it was Kirk Cousins and Kyle Pitts, and then Bijon kind of joined the postgame crew.

Uh, after the Amazon broadcast on Thursday, when they beat the Bucks, And Kurt kind of said he’s like, look, it feels so good to win right now after the up and down Years he’s had, he gets signed; he doesn’t expect them to draft a quarterback.

He isn’t playing totally right as he’s coming off his injury.

Then he does get in, and I mean, there, there are all sorts of things, And so your job as a head coach right now, in my opinion, Especially if you might not even be here to use a draft pick.

Is to win as many games as possible.

And I know we’ll get to the Bengals.

But I just want to end it by saying, Bengals head coach Zac Taylor talked on Wednesday Today, about that as well, and just this idea of he’s like, People might think you want to go for draft picks.

“You have no idea,” he said, “how badly it feels” on Monday.

Whether you’re sitting in the car, you’re coming into the office after a loss.

He’s like, we all are trying to win.

And even when the playoffs are no longer in play, as is the case for several teams around The league right now, that’s not how they’re wired to just hang it up.
