While the focus is so often on quarterback matchups in the NFL, the most important question on Thursday is likely whether a stellar Seahawks defense can rise up and slow down Matthew Stafford’s MVP campaign. Between Stafford, a glut of weapons and perhaps the NFL’s most respected play-caller in Sean McVay, the Rams look every bit like Super Bowl contenders but may have to start the playoffs on the road if they can’t bury the Seahawks in the NFC West standings on “Thursday Night Football.”
