Both Landon Dickerson (calf/rest) and Fred Johnson (ankle) returned to practice on Thursday as the Eagles continue to prepare to face the Commanders on Saturday in Landover, Maryland.
Dickerson and Johnson missed Wednesday’s practice at the Linc but were back on the field Thursday at the NovaCare Complex.
Dickerson has been dealing with that calf injury for a couple weeks and the team has been working to help him manage it throughout the week. He was held out for a day of a practice last week too and was still able to play. Dickerson has battled several different injuries all season.
Johnson’s ankle injury isn’t going to keep him out either. He’s expected to get his fifth consecutive start at right tackle against the Commanders in place of Lane Johnson.
Lane Johnson (foot) and Jalen Carter (shoulders) missed the entire week and will likely be ruled out later today when the final injury report of the week is sent out. This will be Johnson’s fifth missed game in a row and Carter’s third. The Eagles are still expecting both of them to return this season for the playoff run.
The only limited participant at Wednesday’s practice — FB Cameron Latu (stinger) — was back on the field Thursday.
All of the full participants from Wednesday — RB Saquon Barkley (stinger), LB Zack Baun (hand), OLB Jaelan Phillips (knee), RB Tank Bigsby (illness) and OT Cameron Williams (shoulder) — were practicing again to close out the week.
