The Washington Commanders will be without star left tackle Laremy Tunsil for Saturday’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles. In a game the NFL hoped would have significant consequences for the NFC East, the 4-10, injury-riddled Commanders face the division-leading and reigning Super Bowl champions in two of the season’s final three weeks.

Tunsil will join quarterback Jayden Daniels on the sideline for Saturday night. The Commanders ruled Daniels out for the remainder of the season earlier this week.

The 9-5 Eagles also have injuries to deal with for Week 16. Future Hall of Fame right tackle Lane Johnson will miss his fifth straight game with a foot injury. Fred Johnson will start in place of the six-time Pro Bowler.

Philadelphia’s injuries aren’t just limited to offense. Defensive tackle Jalen Carter will also miss this weekend’s game. This will be the third consecutive game Carter has missed due to shoulder injuries. Both players are expected to be back for the Eagles’ playoff run.

Philly does have positive injury news for Week 16: guard Landon Dickerson is healthy and will play against the Commanders.

In addition to Tunsil, tight end Colson Yankoff and defensive tackle Eddie Goldman are out for Washington. The Commanders are thin at tight end with John Bates and Ben Sinnott as the only healthy players. They could elevate Lawrence Cager from the practice squad.
