Detroit Lions loss to Rams isn’t end: Breaking down NFL Week 15 loss
Free Press sports writers Dave Birkett and Carlos Monarrez break down the Detroit Lions’ NFL Week 15 loss to the LA Rams on Sunday, Dec. 14, 2025.

Graham Glasgow played all 64 snaps last Sunday in the Detroit Lions‘ loss to the Los Angeles Rams this past Sunday.
But on Thursday, when the team held its first full practice since that defeat, the veteran center did not participate and was listed with a knee injury on the organization’s official report. This season, Glasgow has started 13 of 14 games. However, a knee injury caused him to miss the Lions’ loss to Green Bay late last month. It’s uncertain, however, whether his current condition is related to his previous ailment.
Glasgow was one of two players absent Thursday. The other was Kerby Joseph.
Joseph’s absence wasn’t much of a surprise. He has missed the last eight games as he continues to deal with a lingering bone bruise in his left knee. After returning to practice Dec. 10, he suffered a “setback,” according to Lions coach Dan Campbell. He hasn’t participated in practice since. Campbell acknowledged last week that the All-Pro safety could be moved to injured reserve in the near future.
“We’re at the backend of the season now, so anything – even if it’s not technically long term becomes long term because we don’t have many games left,” he said then.
But Joseph remains on the active roster.
There was fear that the secondary could lose another one of its main cogs when cornerback Amik Robertson left late in the fourth quarter of the Lions’ 41-34 loss to the Los Angeles Rams this past Sunday. But Robertson was going through drills Thursday with a black-colored club on the left hand he injured while trying to strip the ball from tight end Colby Parkinson on his game-sealing 11-yard touchdown catch.
Robertson, who was listed as a limited partipant, told reporters Wednesday that he planned to play Sunday against Pittsburgh.
“That’s how it is looking, if everything goes right,” he said. “It went right (Wednesday) … I’m going to try to have some contact, and I should be fine.”
Other observations: Tight end Brock Wright (trachea) and linebacker Zach Cunningham (hamstring), who are both on injured reserve, were seen working off to the side at practice. Left tackle Taylor Decker, who missed every practice last week but played the maximum number of offensive snaps Sunday, was listed as a limited participant Thursday. He has spent much of the year dealing with pain in his surgically-repaired right shoulder.
