West Virginia is set to add Kentucky running backs coach and special teams coordinator Jay Boulware to the football staff according to a report.
The news was first reported by John Brice of FootballScoop.com.
Boulware is not expected to join the Mountaineers coaching staff until after the New Year but brings experience not only at Kentucky but Texas where he coached running backs. Boulware has been at Kentucky since the 2023 season where he has served in his current role.
The experienced assistant also has stops at Auburn, Oklahoma, Iowa State, Utah, Arizona and Stanford over his career.
The Mountaineers are needing to replace veteran running backs coach Larry Porter who took the same job at Auburn.
