Six weeks after trading for him, the Jags are finalizing a three-year contract extension.
Wide receiver Jakobi Meyers that ties him to Jacksonville through the 2028 season.
Meyers was scheduled to be a free agent after this season.
But not anymore, in what’s become really an incredible addition for the Jags.
He’s been wildly, uh, productive for this team.
He immediately stepped in and became a Feature in this offense: the numbers, the catches, the yards.
All of it.
And Jakobi made it clear coming in.
Season, Caroline, he wanted to be somewhere where he could get paid, and he could get more security.

He gets that in the form of an extension from The Jags, that’s well earned.
Hes been a huge part of the rhythm of this Offense turning around, yeah.
He’s been massive for them.
That is the kind of move you make at the trade deadline.
I think about Jakobi Meyers to the Jags, I think about Jaelan Phillips to the Eagles.
Players that you can plug in, and they immediately make an impact.
Especially with Travis Hunter going down for the season, They’re losing a stretch of the field, you know, speedy kind of wide receiver.
Good on… Good for Jakobi Meyers.
This is great.
He’s getting the money he deserves.
Being such a perfect fit in that offense.

And good on the Jags for locking up good Players and paying good players and noticing when players are.
Are impact makers and difference makers.
So I, I think this is a great move.
I think that he’s…
He has proven to be one of the key cogs of the transition that we’ve seen in the Jags’ season.
Going from a weird, plucky kind of team that just wins games in strange ways and looks kinda Drunk half the time, to now a team that we view that can place Boiler in the post-season.
