The Atlanta Falcons won’t be headed to the playoffs this season, but they can still finish strong by playing well in their final three games. Last week, the Falcons surprised the rest of the NFL by defeating the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday night football.
In Week 16, Atlanta will hit the road to take on the Arizona Cardinals at State Farm Stadium. While the Falcons have been wildly inconsistent, the Cardinals have hit rock bottom after losing six straight games. At 3-11, Arizona is on track to land a top-10 pick.
Atlanta enters Week 16 with a 5-9 record. As bad as things have gone, the team still has a chance to finish with eight wins. With head coach Raheem Morris coaching for his job and quarterback Kirk Cousins hoping to land a starting gig next year, the team has plenty of incentive to win.
