Haley Marks wasn’t going to miss it again.The Kansas City Chiefs fan drove 14 hours from Pensacola, Florida, passing through seven states to attend the team’s one-day gear sale on Saturday after missing it last year.“I drove 14 hours from Pensacola, Florida, and I went through seven states I think to get here,” Marks said. “Took off work and here I am.”The Chiefs Pro Shop hosted the sale, which featured rows of team gear, ranging from football cleats and shoes to hoodies, practice jerseys, signed footballs and even locker room signs. Many of the items were previously worn or used by players and staff.Marks left satisfied with her haul. “I got some good gifts for people back home and yeah, I’m excited,” she said.Now, she’s headed back to Florida, another 14-hour drive, but she said it was all worth it to support her team.
