The Kansas City Chiefs will head to Music City in Week 16, where they will face the Tennessee Titans at Nissan Stadium.
Last week’s loss to the Los Angeles Chargers brought an end to the Chiefs‘ 2025 playoff hopes. This season marks the first time Kansas City has missed the postseason since 2014, the second year of head coach Andy Reid’s tenure. Given that the Chiefs have no chance of making the playoffs, the reigning AFC champions are set to play for pride and draft position this week.
A season-ending injury sustained by star quarterback Patrick Mahomes in the waning minutes of Kansas City’s Week 15 loss to the Chargers was a crushing blow to morale in Chiefs Kingdom. Thankfully, the two-time MVP had a successful surgery to mend his torn ACL and is on the road to recovery. With Mahomes out for the foreseeable future, as well as the team’s playoff chances gone, expect Kansas City’s backups to receive considerable playing time over the next three weeks.
