The Denver Broncos are in mostly good health going into Sunday’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Broncos inside linebacker Justin Strnad (foot) is the only active-roster player who has been ruled out for Week 16. Strnad might be a candidate for injured reserve, and if he does land on IR, that would open up a spot for fellow linebacker Karene Reid (hamstring), who returned to practice this week and is now eligible to return.
If Strnad avoids IR and Reid is not activated, the team’s three remaining healthy linebackers on the active roster would be Dre Greenlaw, Alex Singleton and Jordan Turner. Denver also has Levelle Bailey available on the practice squad.
Elsewhere on the injury front, running back RJ Harvey (ribs) and wide receiver Pat Bryant (hamstring)Â have both been cleared to play. Broncos guard Ben Powers (biceps)Â is also eligible to return from IR, and the team has an open spot on the roster after guard Calvin Throckmorton was waived on Thursday. If either Reid or Powers is activated from IR in time for the Jaguars game, such a transaction would likely happen on Saturday. Both players are listed as questionable as of Friday night.
Denver’s complete Friday injury report can be seen below.
Sunday’s game (2:05 p.m. MT) will be regionally televised on Fox (view the TV broadcast map). The Broncos are considered home favorites going into Week 16.
