The New York Giants took the field for their final practice of Week 16 on Friday, but beforehand, interim head coach Mike Kafka delivered some bad news.

While speaking with reporters, Kafka revealed that outside linebacker Kayvon Thibodeaux would miss Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Vikings due to a lingering shoulder injury. It will be the fifth straight game Thibs has sat out.

“Really, the only change in practice today will be (safety Tyler) Nubin; he’ll go today,” Kafka said.

In addition to Thibodeaux, the Giants will be without a number of other players as well. Wide receiver Beaux Collins and defensive tackle Rakeem Nunez-Roches were also ruled out for the Week 16 game.

After missing practice on Thursday due to a personal issue, safety Tyler Nubin returned on Friday and is expected to play against the Vikings on Sunday.
