The Washington Commanders host the Philadelphia Eagles today in a rematch of last season’s NFC Championship Game. The Commanders and Eagles met three times last season, with Philadelphia winning two of those meetings before going on to win the Super Bowl.
Much has changed for these franchises since January. The Commanders are 4-10 and ended an eight-game losing streak with last week’s 29-21 win over the Giants. The Eagles (9-5) snapped their own three-game losing streak in Week 15 with a 31-0 thrashing of the Raiders.
With a win on Saturday, Philadelphia wins the NFC East, regardless of what Dallas does on Sunday. Can the Commanders pull off the upset?
We make our final picks for today’s divisional showdown, including the final betting odds.

The Eagles are the better team. They’re also the healthier team. And the team that has everything to play for. While Saquon Barkley hasn’t been as dominant in 2025 as he was last season, Barkley resumes his dominance against the Commanders on Saturday, going for over 100 yards. The game will remain close until the fourth quarter when Philly wears down Washington’s defense. Eagles 28, Commanders 17Ivan Lambert: No pickSerena Burks: This game is going to be hard for Commanders’ fans to watch. The Eagles need to build momentum for their playoff run, and the Commanders just want to finish this season without further injury. Marcus Mariota is going to turn the ball over, and the defense isn’t going to have an answer for A.J. Brown. The Commanders are going to lose; the question is, by how much? Will the defense put forth some effort and make some plays? Will Jacory Croskey-Merritt get the call again and do some damage? Or will the Eagles run roughshod over a run-down and battered Commanders team? If Dan Quinn has anything to say about it, this Commanders team isn’t going down without a fight. They’ll grind it out to the end, and I believe they will put forth effort because no one likes to lose. But I also think it won’t be enough.
