The Tennessee Titans host the Kansas City Chiefs on Dec. 21 at Nissan Stadium with a chance to get their first home victory in 413 days.

Tennessee’s last home win occurred on Nov. 3, 2024 against the Patriots in overtime.

The Titans will have two reasonable chances to break that streak to finish the season, with the Patrick Mahomes-less Chiefs this week and the 4-10 Saints next week.

Gardner Minshew will start at quarterback for the Chiefs, who were eliminated from playoff contention last week after losing to the Chargers. Mahomes tore his ACL and LCL in the loss.

It’s hard to believe this matchup might even be close. But with quarterback Patrick Mahomes on crutches, and the Chiefs eliminated from playoff contention, the Titans might have a shot. Expect a close game, and perhaps an ugly game. But don’t put your life’s savings on the upset.

When’s the last time the Chiefs played a meaningless regular-season game? Feels like the Titans have been playing them for years. I did predict in August that the Chiefs wouldn’t make the playoffs (you can look it up), but I never would’ve expected to be picking them to lose this game at Nissan Stadium. And yet, here we are.
