ALEX HIGHSMITH GIVES BACK
The Steelers’ Walter Payton Man of the Year nominee continues to make an impact in the Steel City off the field.
On Friday, ahead of the road trip to take on the Detroit Lions at Ford Field, Highsmith took the time to give back to the community, donating winter beanies and coats to children in need as part of the Urban Impact initiative.
Through his Alex Highsmith Foundation, Highsmith has left a mark not only in Pittsburgh but also in Charlotte, North Carolina, and his hometown of Wilmington, North Carolina. He’s also put together youth football camps and hosts his annual Back To School bash every year to help kids in need prepare for the school year ahead.

STEELERS DONATE TO SOCIAL JUSTICE MATCHING FUND
Alex Highsmith wasn’t the only member of the Steelers organization to give back to the community this week. The team as a whole donated to the 2025 Social Justice Matching Fund, which came from both the franchise and individual players. According to the Steelers, players like Cameron Heyward, T.J. Watt, Patrick Queen, Kyle Dugger, Pat Freiermuth, Corliss Waitman and Andrus Peat all donated $10,000 or more to the fund.
Since the inception of the Social Justice Matching Fund in 2018, the Steelers have donated more than $3.5 million. This year, the Steelers donated to 13 organizations focused on addressing food insecurities.
BROWNS PLACE JACK CONKLIN ON IR
The Cleveland Browns ended the season of veteran offensive tackle Jack Conklin on Saturday, placing him on injured reserve.
We’ve signed S Christopher Edmonds to the active roster and placed T Jack Conklin on injured reserve.
We’ve also elevated DT Keith Cooper Jr. and DT Maurice Hurst II from the practice squad

Conklin hasn’t played since Nov. 30, suffering a concussion in the game against the San Francisco 49ers. Since then, he’s missed the matchups against the Tennessee Titans and Chicago Bears, leaving rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders without his starting right tackle.
In his place, second-year pro KT Leveston has started the last two games and appears in line to start in Week 16 against the Buffalo Bills and then Week 17 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, with both games in Cleveland.
