Ricky Pearsall will miss his seventh game of the 2025 NFL season on “Monday Night Football.”

The second-year 49ers wide receiver will not travel with the team to face the Indianapolis Colts as he continues to recover from a right knee injury he aggravated in Sunday’s win against the Tennessee Titans, coach Kyle Shanahan confirmed to reporters after practice Saturday.

Shanahan said Pearsall was close to being available, “but not close enough.”

After an ankle scare on the 49ers’ first play of Sunday’s game, Pearsall aggravated his knee injury during an important third-down conversion against the Titans.

Pearsall originally sustained a PCL injury in the 49ers’ Week 4 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars when he landed hard on his right knee. It took him seven weeks to recover and return, and now he faces another setback.

Pearsall caught six passes for 96 yards in the 37-24 victory.

Renardo Green and Kurtis Rourke also have been ruled out for San Francisco’s prime-time matchup. Yetur Gross-Matos is questionable.

Shanahan said Green’s neck has been bothering him all week and he didn’t get any better over the past couple of days, so the 49ers had to shut him down for Monday’s contest.
