The Detroit Lions won’t be at full strength while fighting to make the playoffs.

The Lions are taking on the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, Dec. 21, at Ford Field in Detroit, with kickoff scheduled for 4:25 p.m. ET (CBS). And though the third-place Lions are favorites against the first-place Steelers, the Lions will be without some key players for their final regular-season home game.

The Lions offensive line is missing veteran starting center Graham Glasgow, and so is his backup Trystan Colon. Kingsley Eguakun, called up from practice squad, will start at center, though at least he won’t face Steelers All-Pro defensive end T.J. Watt, who is inactive while recovering from a lung injury.

There is good news, as Lions left guard Christian Mahogany is back after being activated off injured reserve Saturday. Mahogany broke a bone in his left leg in a Nov. 2 loss to the Minnesota Vikings and has missed the past six weeks.

All-Pro safety Kerby Joseph, who has been out with a knee injury since Week 5, was placed on injured reserve and won’t be available for the Lions for the rest of the season.

A few other key offensive linemen have been listed as questionable on the team’s most recent injury report, with starters Taylor Decker and Graham Glasgow likely game-time decisions. Offensive guard Christian Mahogany might play for the first time since Nov. 2, however, as the team activated him from injured reserve this past week.

Lions inactives vs Steelers

The Lions have listed seven players as inactive against the Steelers.

The biggest name on this list is Glasgow, the Lions starting center, making them thin on the interior. Colon is also inactive, forcing Kingsley Eguakun to make the start at center.

Mahogany is active for the first time after missing six games with a broken bone in his leg.
