The Detroit Lions and Pittsburgh Steelers face off at 4:25 p.m. ET as two teams still vying for one of the remaining playoff spots in their respective conferences.
With a win, the Lions will be just a game out of the final Wild Card spot, trailing only the 9-5-1 Green Bay Packers. With two games remaining, that puts them in striking distance to put the Packers in the dust, despite Green Bay winning the season series.
It’s a lot more simple for the 8-6 Pittsburgh Steelers. They currently hold the AFC North lead over the 7-7 Baltimore Ravens. All the Steelers need to do is win their Week 18 game against the Ravens no matter what happens over the next two weeks. Of course, the Steelers can clinch the division before that game even happens if they continue to win and the Ravens lose.
So there will be significant stakes on the line for both teams as they take the field in Detroit as CBS’s Game of the Week.
