Ravens vs. Patriots: The matchup

The Ravens sit at 7-7 this season with three weeks to play, and they go into Week 16 a game behind the Pittsburgh Steelers (8-6) in the AFC North Division after losing the first of two head-to-head matchups in Baltimore in Week 14 (27-22). Baltimore did bounce back and avenge another AFC North loss last weekend with a 24-0 shutout win over Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals to stay within striking distance of the AFC North lead. Despite losing the turnover battle, Baltimore’s defense pitched a shutout and rumbled to 189 rushing yards on 24 carries to control the game with a robust 7.9-yard rushing average.

The Patriots look to start anew after having a 10-game win streak broken up by a 35-31 home loss to Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills in Week 15. New England still leads the AFC East with its 11-3 record and can still contend for the No. 1 seed in the AFC Playoffs while also needing to keep winning with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Los Angeles Chargers and Bills all breathing down their necks with 10-4 records. The Pats have a top-10 offense in terms of total yards (6th, 364.2 ypg), passing yards (241.8 ypg) and scoring (7th, 27.3 ppg) and a top-10 defensive unit allowing the sixth-fewest yards (300.1 ypg) and sixth-fewest points (19.7 ppg) per game in the league.
