The Rams already lost this week, but they could get some help from a couple of teams this weekend

The Los Angeles Rams let what would’ve been a huge win slip through their grasp on Thursday night, allowing the Seattle Seahawks to erase a 16-point fourth-quarter deficit and win in overtime, 38-37. Had the Rams won, their chances of earning the No. 1 seed would’ve improved to 90%, per The Athletic, but they’ve since sunk to 20%.

Likewise, their chances of winning the NFC West are now just 24%, needing help from teams facing the Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers in the final three weeks.

Although the Rams didn’t handle their business this week, they’ll still have a rooting interest in a couple of games still to take place in Week 16.

Packers at Bears (Saturday, 8:20 p.m. ET)

Who to root for: Packers

Though the Packers and Bears are both near the top of the NFC, the Bears are the ones who can beat out the Rams for the No. 1 seed if they win their final three games. At 10-4, Chicago is only a half-game behind the Rams and could hurt their chances of securing the top seed with a win on Saturday night.

If the Bears win, the Rams’ odds for the No. 1 seed drop to 17%, whereas a Packers will increase the Rams’ odds to 23%.

49ers at Colts (Monday, 8:15 p.m. ET)

Who to root for: Colts

This game has greater playoff implications than Packers-Bears, and the Rams will be pulling for Philip Rivers and the Colts to pull off the upset at home in the final game of Week 16. The Colts nearly beat the Seahawks in Week 15 and could very well take down the Niners on Monday night.

If the Colts win, the Rams’ chances to earn the No. 1 seed increase to 32% compared to dropping to 14% with a 49ers win. Similarly, the Rams’ NFC West odds increase to 36% with a Colts win and drop to 17% with a Colts loss.
