The Denver Broncos signed 15 undrafted free agents following the 2025 NFL draft. One of them was wide receiver Joaquin Davis from North Carolina Central.

Davis (6-4, 195 pounds) comes out of HBCU (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) NC Central, where he played from 2021-24. Davis played wide receiver for the Eagles, but he also found a place on special teams. Davis finished his collegiate career with 92 receptions for 1,211 yards and 12 touchdowns in 42 career games.

At the 2025 HBCU combine, Davis ran an impressive 4.40-second 40-yard dash. Davis is an athletic beast, with a 42-inch vertical jump as well. His athleticism earned Davis an RAS (overall athleticism metric popular with incoming NFL prospects) score of 9.33 out of a possible 10. Check out some of Davis’ special teams and receiver highlights from his time with NC Central below. He is projected to be a huge boon for Broncos special teams coordinator Darren Rizzi going into training camp for the 2025 season.

*Note for highlight videos: Davis is wearing No. 88

Joaquin Davis is a prospect with a high athletic upside for whom I have a mini-camp grade. While he needs some more refinement in his route running, he will come into camp as one of the best gunners on special teams.
