Cousins wore a Christmas-themed suit to his post-game press conference

The Atlanta Falcons were on the verge of blowing a 10-point lead to the Arizona Cardinals when cornerback C.J. Henderson intercepted quarterback Jacoby Brissett to secure a 26-19 victory. Henderson was just signed to the 53-man roster on Saturday and made a pretty good case to stick around.

Running back Bijan Robinson did a little bit of everything, racking up 168 all-purpose yards and a touchdown in a gutsy performance. Tight end Kyle Pitts recorded another touchdown and rookie James Pearce Jr. got in on yet another sack to bring his season total to 8.5.

Quarterback Kirk Cousins turned in a solid effort, passing for 197 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. After the game, Cousins was feeling the holiday spirit and wore a Christmas-themed suit to his press conference.

“Yeah, my wife dresses me, so she wanted this on,” Cousins said to open his post-game presser. “You know, it has a weird feeling right now because any time you win in this league, you’ve got to be grateful and happy about it. But I think we all, as professionals, hold ourselves to a standard to where we feel like there’s plays for each one of us that could have been better.”

Cousins was asked about Bijan Robinson’s impact and praised the running back’s durability.

“It’s hard to do it if you’re not healthy, so the fact that he’s durable enough to be there every game to do it is a big deal,” said Cousins. “And then, you do have to be someone that can not only contribute in the run game, but the pass game as well.”
