Lions’ playoff hopes fade after gut-wrenching loss vs. Steelers
USA TODAY Sports’ Prince Grimes ‘overreacts’ to some of the best games from Sunday’s Week 16 slate.
The Los Angeles Chargers are in position to potentially secure an NFL postseason berth on Monday, after finding success on the road in Week 16.
On Sunday, the team earned a 34-17 victory over the Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Los Angeles improved to 11-4 overall, but remains second in the AFC West behind the Denver Broncos (12-3).
The Chargers could’ve clinched a postseason spot on Sunday, but needed the Houston Texans to lose to the Las Vegas Raiders. The Houston defeated the Las Vegas Raiders, 23-21.
The Chargers can clinch a playoff spot if the Indianapolis Colts lose to the San Francisco 49ers on “Monday Night Football.”
Who could the Chargers play?
If the season ended today, the Chargers would be the AFC’s No. 5 seed and play the Pittsburgh Steelers on the road in a wild-card playoff game.
