Derrick Moore is a high-IQ, athletic, versatile edge rusher who has the upside to be a consistent double-digit sack producer in the NFL. 

Draft Grade: Round 2 – Winning Starter

Strengths:

Quick First Step: Moore showcases a quick first step that sets the stage for him to win around the arc as a pass rusher. Once Moore uses his quick first step, he can then use counter moves and cross the face of the offensive lineman, giving himself multiple ways to win.

Athleticism: Moore shows to be a plus-level athlete at the edge position, showing good speed, reactionary athleticism, and fluid movements. His athleticism allows him to be an effective pass rusher and run defender.

Sack Production: In Moore’s one year as a full-time starter, he was a double-digit sack player who has proven that he can get to the quarterback with pressures and sacks.

Pass-Rush Repertoire: Moore has shown an in-depth and nuanced understanding of rushing the quarterback and has numerous maneuvers that he can utilize to win as a pass rusher.

Concerns:

Limited Starts: Moore has a limited number of snaps throughout his career. 

Finishing Sacks: On multiple occasions throughout the year, Moore made contact with the quarterback but failed to finish the sack.Â
