Sunday’s game was there for the taking for the Cleveland Browns, but their second half rally attempt against the Buffalo Bills fell short, and they’re now 3-12 on the season as a result.
The Browns still have two games left in 2025, but plenty of eyes are now on the offseason. What happens with Kevin Stefanski? Will they run it back with Shedeur Sanders at quarterback, or will they be in position to draft a franchise signal-caller in April? Who will be part of this team in 2026?

Fans had that, and more, on their minds after yet another tough loss by the Browns.
The QB situation
Shedeur Sanders has flashed at times this season. The highlight plays have been there, and a team in a different position could easily talk themselves into rolling with him as the starting quarterback for 2026.
From the Browns’ perspective, though, Sanders is a fifth-round pick and the team looks like it’ll be in position to grab one of the draft’s top two quarterbacks — Oregon’s Dante Moore and Indiana’s Fernando Mendoza — in April. After Sunday’s loss, the Browns hold the third overall pick, and the teams holding the first and second picks play each other in Week 17. Sanders’ one-to-five touchdown-to-interception ratio over the Browns’ last two games may not do him any favors in their decision-making process, too.

That doesn’t mean all fans are fully on-board with the idea.
The decision-makers
Kevin Stefanski’s future has been a topic of discussion all season long in Cleveland, but it’s looking likely that general manager Andrew Berry will remain in place for the 2026 season. The state of the Browns’ roster — and their shortcomings in certain areas being very apparent on Sunday — made him a target of Browns’ fans ire, too.
Judkins’ injury
The Browns got some brutal news on Sunday after star rookie running back Quinshon Judkins exited the game with a lower leg injury. Judkins suffered a dislocated ankle and fractured fibula, injuries that will cut his rookie season short. Judkins finishes his rookie season with 827 rushing yards and seven rushing touchdowns, along with 26 receptions for 171 yards.
