The Seattle Seahawks will officially be without linebacker Derick Hall for Sunday’s Week 17 game against the Carolina Panthers. During Seattle’s thrilling 38-37 overtime victory against the Los Angeles Rams, Hall was accused of stepping on Rams guard Kevin Dotson’s leg, which resulted in Dotson being carted off the field. As a result, Hall was given a one game suspension.
Hall appealed the suspension over the weekend, but the league remained unmoved. Hall’s suspension was upheld, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
The 12th Man has long felt the Seahawks are not officiated fairly by the NFL, given the amount of missed and questionable calls that do not go their way, and this will only add fuel to the fire. When watching the video, it certainly does not look intentional. It looks as if Hall’s right foot is caught underneath Dotson’s leg, and he was stumbling to avoid falling over.

It appears the NFL did not agree.
Now the Seahawks will be without a depth player for their game against the Panthers on Sunday. Seattle is in the driver’s seat for the No. 1 seed, but they will need a win over Carolina to remain in this position. Losing Hall isn’t necessarily a massive blow, but he is a quality player and the Hawks can’t afford to be overlooking a dangerous first place Panthers team.
