The Miami Dolphins defense could not stop the Cincinnati Bengals offense Sunday in a 45-21 loss. Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow passed for 309 yards and four touchdowns while running back Chase Brown racked up 109 yards of offense and three touchdowns.

The first half was competitive with the Bengals up 17-14 after two quarters. But Cincinnati turned the game into a blowout with four consecutive touchdown drives to open the second half, capitalizing on three Miami turnovers.

Dolphins rookie quarterback Quinn Ewers made a few good plays in his first start but couldn’t do enough to keep up with the red-hot Bengals offense. Ewers threw two interceptions in the third quarter which helped the Bengals put the game out of reach. Ewers finished his starting debut with 20 completions on 30 pass attempts for 260 yards.

All three of Miami’s touchdowns came on the ground with De’Von Achane, Malik Washington, and Jaylen Wright all finding the end zone on rushes.
