Three more teams are playoff-bound after Monday’s contest between the San Francisco 49ers and the Indianapolis Colts.
After the Colts lost, the Buffalo Bills, Los Angeles Chargers and Jacksonville Jaguars punched a ticket to the postseason.
With Buffalo, Los Angeles and Jacksonville now officially heading to the postseason, here’s a look at the updated standings and playoff bracket.
1. x-Seattle Seahawks (12-3, NFC West)
2. x-Chicago Bears (11-4, NFC North)
3. z-Philadelphia Eagles (10-5, NFC East)
4. Carolina Panthers (8-7, NFC South)
The Eagles clinched the NFC East with their win over the Washington Commanders on Sunday. The Bears are in a good position to clinch the NFC North, sitting a few games ahead of the second-place Packers.
The fights for the NFC West and South are close, which means the Seahawks and Rams will have to keep their foot on the gas the rest of the way.
5. x-Los Angeles Rams (11-4)
6. x-San Francisco 49ers (11-4)
7. Green Bay Packers (9-5-1)
The Packers’ hopes of clinching the division took a hit on Sunday when they lost to the Bears, but they are still in the race for the NFC North and are very much alive in the playoff hunt.
9. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7-8)
After a wild ending to Sunday night’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Lions’ playoff hopes are in serious jeopardy, yet there is still a chance they can sneak in if they win out and get some help from other teams.
The Bucs likewise suffered a major blow on Sunday with a loss to the Panthers. Tampa Bay will need to win next week before handling business against Carolina in the season finale to reach the postseason.
10. Minnesota Vikings (7-8)
11. Dallas Cowboys (6-8-1)
12. Atlanta Falcons (6-9)
13. New Orleans Saints (5-10)
14. Washington Commanders (4-11)
15. Arizona Cardinals (3-12)
16. New York Giants (2-13)
x – denotes clinched playoffs
z – denotes clinched division
1. x-Denver Broncos (12-3, AFC West)
2. x-New England Patriots (12-3, AFC East)
3. x-Jacksonville Jaguars (11-4, AFC South)
4. Pittsburgh Steelers (9-6, AFC North)
The Broncos and Patriots have looked like two of the best teams in the NFL this season, but the Jaguars are making a strong case to be in that conversation as well. Now Jacksonville has joined Denver and New England in the playoffs as it continues to establish itself as a legit contender.
5. x-Los Angeles Chargers (11-4)
6. x-Buffalo Bills (11-4)
Despite some outstanding play from the Broncos this season, the Chargers are still in the mix to win a division title. The season finale against Denver is looking more exciting every week.
The Bills and Texans are likewise just behind their respective division leaders, setting up what should be an exciting end to the regular season.
8. Indianapolis Colts (8-7)
9. Baltimore Ravens (7-8)
The Colts’ playoff chances are virtually shot after Monday’s loss. At this point, they’ll need to win out while counting on the Jaguars and Texans to lose their remaining games.
The Ravens, who lost to the Patriots on Sunday, are in a similar situation, but they only need the Steelers to lose out while they win out, so things aren’t quite as desperate.
10. Kansas City Chiefs (6-9)
12. Cincinnati Bengals (5-10)
14. Tennessee Titans (3-12)
15. Cleveland Browns (3-12)
16. Las Vegas Raiders (2-13)
