New York Giants wide receiver Wan’Dale Robinson stands just 99 yards shy of 1,000 receiving yards with two games remaining in the 2025 season — a milestone that would mark the first of his four-year NFL career.

Through 15 games, the 5-foot-8, 185-pound slot specialist has posted 81 receptions for a career-high 901 yards and an 11.1 yards-per-reception average.

On Monday, Robinson expressed what reaching the mark would mean to him.

“I think it’d mean a lot, being able to hit that mark. I think every receiver wants to hit that 1,000-yard mark. I’m just going to continue to try to do what I can do and hopefully get to that number,” he said.

When a reporter teased him by mentioning “99 more yards” without saying 1,000, Robinson revealed he’s well aware of the exact figure.

“Yeah, I’ve had people, I’ve had teammates, I’ve had family members, everybody kind of keeps me updated with it. I really don’t have to look at my numbers too often to know exactly what I need for certain things,” he said.

Robinson’s surge follows a 2024 season marred by criticism over his size and productivity. Despite leading the team with 93 receptions, he managed only 699 yards — a career-low 7.5 yards per catch — that fueled doubts about his ability to be a true difference-maker.

In 2025, Robinson has silenced skeptics by showcasing greater versatility, lining up both outside and in the slot. While most of his production has still come from the slot, his ability to play multiple alignments and run a more diverse route tree has directly contributed to his improved efficiency and yardage totals.

The breakout has been amplified by rookie sensation Malik Nabers’ season-ending ACL tear early in the year, opening up additional targets for Robinson.

He credited relentless offseason preparation for his progress.

“I think it just goes to show the work that I put in really this offseason,” Robinson said. “Didn’t really take any breaks, just wanted to go put in all that work knowing that I had to have a big year this year, even if it was Malik that was going to be here, too. Just putting in the work, and now it’s all — now the progress is just showing.”

All of this unfolds in a contract year, with Robinson entering free agency after the season. Asked about extension talks, he stayed focused.

“I’m not really going to get too much into that. Just trying to continue to just do what I can and finish this year out strong,” he said. “I’m going to let my agents and my team handle that part of the business. Just trying to do everything that I can to be great.”

Reaching that 1,000-yard mark will only help Robinson when his agent sits down at the table with the Giants after the season.
