The Chicago Bears have quickly become one of the NFL’s best comeback stories thanks in large part to ex-USC Trojans star quarterback Caleb Williams.

Williams delivered a dent into the Green Bay Packers’ playoff hopes this past Saturday to cap off an unforgettable 22-16 overtime win

With a win in one one of their final two games, the Bears would clinch an NFC North division title. Should they do so in Week 18, they would split the season series with the Detroit Lions and eliminate the Lions from postseason contention (assuming they aren’t already eliminated in Week 17).

The Bears travel to Santa Clara to take on a surging San Francisco 49ers team having won five in a row. Despite a packed Week 17 with three games Christmas Day spread between 1 p.m. and 8 p.m. ET and a Saturday night doubleheader, the Bears’ national TV spot will see them play the 49ers on Sunday Night Football beginning at 8:20 p.m. ET.

Therefore, there is no need for Prime Video or the NFL Network as the game will be broadcast on NBC (while streamed on Peacock).

The Packers could join the Bears’ playoff party with a win against the Baltimore Ravens Saturday night should they handle business, which would also keep their NFC North hopes alive at least through kickoff of Bears-49ers.

Nonetheless, though, the NFL playoff picture and division title races are coming into focus, making Week 17’s action must-see TV.

So, Bears fans can rest and recharge while they wait for Williams and crew to take the field again.

They may even get some much-needed help, but for now, focusing on the holidays quickly becomes priority.
