Announced by the team Tuesday, three Pittsburgh Steelers have made the 2026 Pro Bowl: EDGE T.J. Watt, FS Jalen Ramsey, and special teamer Ben Skowronek.
Per the team’s press release, it marks the 25th-straight season the Steelers have sent multiple representatives to the Pro Bowl. The last time Pittsburgh failed to was 2001 when only EDGE Jason Gildon was selected. Last year, Pittsburgh sent four: K Chris Boswell, FS Minkah Fitzpatrick, DL Cam Heyward, and Watt.
It’s Watt’s eighth Pro Bowl selection. Though his numbers are down and he’s missed the past two games due to a lung injury, he still leads the team with seven sacks. Watt’s also posted 53 tackles (10 for a loss) with 18 QB hits, seven pass breakups, three forced fumbles, and one interception.
In franchise history, only six players have made more Pro Bowls than Watt’s eight: DL Joe Greene, LB Jack Lambert, C Mike Webster, C Maurkice Pouncey, RB Franco Harris, and DL Ernie Stautner. Greene made 10 while the rest were selected to nine. Watt’s eight ties LB Jack Ham and S Troy Polamalu.
Ramsey made the transition from cornerback to safety midseason and made it look easy. He has 77 tackles (four for a loss) with three sacks and one interception. Like Watt, this is his eighth Pro Bowl appearance. Traded over from the Miami Dolphins in late June, he’s been a steady and physical presence in the Steelers’ secondary.
Skowronek makes his first Pro Bowl after a strong season on special teams that began an online campaign to make his first bid. Several of his clips went viral online and he partnered with the NFL to promote them. This year, Skowronek has recorded 20 tackles, 10 solo, across 279 total special teams snaps. He’s one of the NFL’s best gunners and coverage players and has continued to make plays despite battling a bad hand injury.
Though used little as a wide receiver, he caught the team’s first touchdown of the season against the New York Jets.
Notable Steelers not selected this year include QB Aaron Rodgers, C Zach Frazier, DL Cam Heyward, EDGEs Alex Highsmith and Nick Herbig, and K Chris Boswell.
The 2026 Pro Bowl Games will take place Feb. 3, 2026 in California. This year, the event will be integrated into the lead-up to the Super Bowl in the hopes of drawing more attention and making the games feel less separated.
