On Tuesday, the NFL announced the rosters for the 2025 NFL Pro Bowl Games.
This is the third season the NFL has used this updated format for games. Instead of a traditional Pro Bowl game like in the past, there’s now a flag football game and some fun skills competitions. The games are set to take place on January 30 and February 2 in Orlando, FL.

Punter Tress Way is the only Washington Commander to be selected to the Pro Bowl. It’s Way’s third selection, and much deserved, as he continues to be among the best at his position. Opponents have only returned Way’s punts for a total of 94 yards this season, which is the second-best mark among qualified punters.
However, Way may not be the only Commander participating in the games. Rookie Jaylin Lane has been named a second alternate as a returner, and veteran linebacker Nick Bellore has been named a third alternate as a special teamer.
Lane is sixth in the NFL in punt return yards and is tied for the lead in punt return touchdowns with two. Bellore, meanwhile, has two prior Pro Bowl selections on his resume, and has 11 tackles and a forced fumble this season.

In a disappointing season that’s been plagued by underperformance and injuries, it’s not surprising that the Commanders aren’t more represented. Still, it’ll be cool to see, hopefully, a few Commanders having fun down in Orlando in a season that hasn’t had many good moments.
As for the rest of the team, the Commanders have two games remaining in the 2025 season. In Week 17, the team will take on the Dallas Cowboys, before ending the season with a matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 18.
