Those who follow and love the Chicago Bears are beyond angry about Caleb Williams that emerged after the team clinched a playoff spot.

Those who follow Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears have a lot to be excited about for the 2025-26 season, from the team clinching a spot in the playoffs for the first time since 2020 to the team being on top of the NFC North. But, there’s always something to be upset about, and on Tuesday, December 23, those who think Williams is one of the best quarterbacks in the league had a reason to be mad.

“I got the best coach in the world, let’s put it that way,” Williams said following the team’s 22-16 win over the Green Bay Packers on Saturday, December 20. “We have the best coaching staff in the world. So, you put the talent with the coaches and the people that care, you can strive for anything, you can reach anything, you can go after any goal.”

Williams added, “And when you go out there on that football field, your belief is at an all-time high between players, between coaches, and you have outcomes like this.”

Bears head coach Ben Johnson also sang the team’s praises after the overtime victory. “This is a special group,” Johnson said. “I felt that early in the season. You get some of those wins, the Raiders game, the Washington game, and you start feeling it, the belief is coming. This group, I’m talking about coaches and players combined, it’s rare, it really is. I can’t say enough good things about the people in this building.”

Chicago Bears Followers Not Happy About Caleb Williams Getting Disrespected

On Tuesday, the NFL announced the AFC and NFC lineup for this year’s Pro Bowl games, and three Chicago Bears made it as starters: safety Kevin Byard, guard Joe Thuney and center Drew Dalman. It’s fantastic to see the team with an 11-4 record getting respect in the league. If they land the top NFC North honors, it will mark their first time since 2018.

But, Williams didn’t make the cut, which left some in the NFL not happy. In addition to fans taking to social media to celebrate the Bears who made it but mention that Williams didn’t, sports analysts also noticed the snub.

“Williams’ stats may not match up with the likes of Matthew Stafford or Dak Prescott, but he is still just within the top 10 of multiple passing categories,” Brendan Sugrue of the Bears Wire noted in a Tuesday, December 23 feature. “More importantly, though, Williams has led the Bears to six comeback victories this season, tied for the most by a player under 25 since Peyton Manning in 1999. Williams also doesn’t turn the ball over, as he is fourth among quarterbacks with a rate of just 1.2%. ”

Chicago Bears Quarterback Caleb Williams is ‘Deserving’

Sugrue added of Williams, “With how he’s gotten the Bears back to the playoffs combined with his spectacular highlight throws, Williams is deserving of a Pro Bowl nod.”

As for the audience, “This is ridiculous. Caleb Williams deserves to be a Pro Bowler,” one said on X after the news surfaced. “Caleb cooking, deserves that spot,” another added.

So, Chicago Bears enthusiasts would like to see Williams in the game, but if the Bears go all the way, he wouldn’t be able to participate, anyway.
