The NFC had some big changes in the playoff race in Week 16.
The NFC playoff race had a couple of big changes. The Los Angeles Rams are no longer leading the NFC West and are no longer the No. 1 seed in the conference. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are no longer in the playoff picture, as they lost the lead in the NFC South.
Let’s take a look at the NFC playoff picture, what happened in Week 16 and what is coming up in Week 17.

These are the current NFC playoff standings:

The Detroit Lions (8-7) and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7-8) are in the mix. Minnesota and Dallas have been eliminated.
Week 16 results
Week 16 kicked off with the Seahawks coming back from down 30-14 in the fourth quarter to beat the Rams 38-37 in overtime, taking over the lead in the NFC West and propelling them to the No. 1 seed in the conference.
The Eagles beat the Commanders 29-18, clinching the NFC East.
The Bears beat the Packers 22-16 in overtime.
The Panthers knocked off the Bucs 23-20, taking over the NFC South lead.
The Niners blew out the Indianapolis Colts 48-27.
Week 17 games that matter to NFC playoff race
The Lions are on the road against the Vikings.
Green Bay hosts the 7-8 Baltimore Ravens.
The Seahawks and Panthers play in Charlotte.
The Bucs will visit the 6-9 Miami Dolphins.
The Bears and 49ers play Sunday night in Santa Clara, and the Rams are on the road against the 6-9 Atlanta Falcons.
